As the main UK golf season draws to a close, we're taking a moment to reflect on yet another memorable year at Tidal Links. From new fabrics and products to exciting international projects and growing involvement in events and gifting, there's been plenty happening both on and off the course.

With preparations for 2027 already well underway, we wanted to share a few updates on what's been happening behind the scenes and what's next for the brand.

A year of memorable moments

One of the standout highlights of 2026 was providing player gifting to the GB&I Walker Cup team, with personalised versions of our barrel and rangefinder pouches.

For Tidal Links founder Kevin, this was a particularly proud moment:

"Seeing our products on TV for the first time reminds us of how far we've come in recent times. We look forward to doing more interesting products of this nature in the future, offering a more sustainable alternative to high-profile events."

Our products have continued to find their way into different parts of the golfing experience. From a window display in the Old Course Pro Shop at St Andrews to a growing number of first-tee gifting orders, including most recently The Grove in London, it's been exciting to see the variety of opportunities emerging.

New Developments

Much of the recent focus has been on preparing pre-orders for the 2027 season across Northern Hemisphere markets, while continuing to develop and improve our product range.

One of the biggest developments has been the launch of OceanGuard, our new premium fabric incorporating recycled ocean-bound plastic.

As Kevin explains:

"We see this as a real step forward - being able to offer something this high quality, whilst still carrying our story, really allows Tidal Links to stand as a great alternative to PU leather products."

The 2026/27 wholesale brochure has also introduced new additions, including an upgraded backpack and washbag.

"They've been well received so far and we are seeing this in the order pre-books already. We believe in continuously improving our products year on year and 2027 looks to be our biggest step forward yet."

And there's more to come, with quick-turn customisation options being developed for the UK market, which we're aiming to introduce next season.

Spotlight Series

In September, we introduced the Tidal Links Spotlight Series, sharing positive stories from our customers that connect with our mission. Our first edition featured Tara Iti Golf Club in New Zealand and its conservation efforts to protect the endangered fairy tern.  Read Spotlight Edition 01: Spotlight Series: Sustainability in Golf | Tidal Links

As our Creative Lead, Caleen, explains:

"I was researching the bird on Tara Iti's logo and that led me to want to know more about the wildlife around the club and eventually to an introduction to Alex at Tara Iti. What started as a few questions for a blog became something much bigger once I heard the story. There was simply too much interesting material to squeeze into a short interview."

With the next edition already in the works, we're looking forward to sharing more of the positive sustainability work being carried out by our partners and customers. Look out for this later in the year.

Looking ahead

Expanding our online range in 2027 is one of our key focus areas, with a new collection already in development. This will include both classic and creative styles across a variety of products and fabrics, available through our website and social media stores.

Our goal is to ensure our customers and potential customers understand the alternatives available when considering product options, from direct consumers to retailers and events companies.

There's plenty still to come, but one thing remains unchanged: our love of the coast and our commitment to creating products we're proud of, while helping keep plastic out of our oceans.
